Metropolitan Moses
Hierarchal Overseer
Metropolitan Moses of Toronto entered the Orthodox Church in 1975 and was tonsured a monk in 1978 at Holy Transfiguration Monastery in Boston. He served there as an iconographer until becoming a bishop in 1996. In 2011, he joined the canonical Church of the Genuine Orthodox Christians of Greece, and in 2012 was unanimously elected Metropolitan of Toronto.
Fr. John Somers
Headmaster & Teacher
Father John Somers holds degrees in philosophy, history, information systems, teaching, English literature, and philosophy, with over 20 years of experience in education and consulting. A clergyman for more than fifteen years and a homeschooling father of eight, he is passionate about teaching through the Socratic method, emphasizing learning by questions rather than rote memorization. His goal is to help students recover the classical tools of learning, especially from an Orthodox perspective.

Vasilios Asimakos
Teacher
Vasilios Asimakos, the son of Greek immigrants, graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 2009 with degrees in English and Theatre. After working as a professional actor, he discovered his passion for Classical Christian education and has since taught rhetoric, literature, composition, and drama at Classical Christian schools. He especially values guiding students to connect their learning with their Christian faith and watching their growth in thinking, speaking, and writing. He and his family are members of the Orthodox Church of St. Philaret of New York in Anderson, South Carolina.


Paraskevi Hamos

Paraskevi “Vicky” Hamos, a parishioner at St. Mark of Ephesus Church in Westwood, Massachusetts, earned her degree in elementary education and teaching licensure from Bridgewater State University in 2008, later adding a license in early education. She has taught students of various ages and subjects, but her greatest joy is introducing young children to the love of the Orthodox Church. Vicky is also a student of the St. John of Damascus Initiative, where she participates in adult classes and discussion groups, continuing her lifelong love of learning and teaching.
Nektaria Papanicola

Nektaria Papanicola is an English instructor based in St. Alban’s, UK, with extensive experience teaching English as a Foreign Language in Greece and London. Passionate about engaging her students, she uses creativity, humor, and encouragement to help them reach their full potential. Outside the classroom, she enjoys gardening, baking, nature walks, and is active in her local parish community.
